Futures Fair

2024 Date: Tuesday, Oct. 15, WSU Koch Arena

Welcome

Futures Fair provides a great opportunity for students at your school to visit with representatives from more than 60 local, in-state, out-of-state, and sometimes global postsecondary institutions.

Futures Fair targets juniors in high school, but any class is welcome to attend. Many schools bus their students to the event during a timeslot. If you have not been contacted about securing your timeslot, please email Laura Barker. More than 30 high schools bring a collective 2,400+ students, so it’s helpful to know what time you plan to arrive. Due to the long exhibit day, Futures Fair temporarily closes from 11:35-12:20 to allow a lunch break for exhibitors.

Strive Scan

We HIGHLY encourage all students to create a Strive Scan account BEFORE the event and bring their barcode to Futures Fair. The barcode can be scanned (from their device) by representatives to collect contact information and other educational components. Barcodes help make a student’s time at the event more efficient and allows them the opportunity to visit with reps versus filling out contact information cards.

$1,000 Futures Fair Scholarship

We are awarding six $1,000 scholarships in 2024!

Six high schools/homeschools with students who attend the Futures Fair will be drawn as winners. The high school/homeschool will select the $1,000 scholarship winner from the group of students who attended the 2024 Futures Fair.

Hospitality Room

We welcome high school counselors to stop in for a drink as you walk around Futures Fair and collect materials to bring back to your school. The Hospitality Room is located in the Champion’s Club.

Exhibitors

Exhibitors start registering in August. Once registration begins, you can visit the Exhibitor List to find out who’s planning to attend.

Flyer

Flyers are usually emailed to high school counselors in August/September. If you would like a digital flyer, email Laura Barker at lbarker1@usd259.net
